Is it Afro Street Festival or Bole Festival? The question comes in again.

If you’re in Nigeria’s third best city, the city of Port Harcourt. You should know what this weekend is for — The AFRO STREET FESTIVAL!

The event which holds every first Saturday in the month of December, this time falls on the 3rd of December.

It’s the biggest outdoor event in the month of December, down in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

But then, the talk hasn’t watered down on which of the two event is the biggest event in the Southern part of Africa’s most populous nation.

HIGHER TICKET PRICES MEAN BIGGER?

Previously, Afro Street Festival didn’t go with tickets. It was a free event that has a mix of African culture and modern times.

But this year’s edition of the event tagged NEGRITUDE comes with a ticket.

Highlights of Afro Street Festival 2021

Bole Festival has always had a ticket, only that this time around, it was a 2-day event!

Now while tickets for Afro Street Festival is at N1,000, that of Bole Festival was for N2,000. So do we rate the events according to the tickets?

ARTISTES LINEUP?

There are some set of people who feel that Bole Festival is bigger due to the artistes lineup, with the most recent edition being headlined by Ruger.

While, the last edition of Afro Street Festival (2021) had Ajebo Hustlers as the headline artiste.

Despite this, fans of the afro event believe the festival is bigger than artiste line up, as it gives room to showcase the African culture.

INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION?

Afro Street Festival seems to garner more international recognition. Of course, due to the afrocentric nature of the festival!
