A lot, a whole lot of people wish to be someone else. You look at someone whom you feel is doing better and wish you are that person.
A whole lot of people can not stop comparing themselves with the next person. A whole lot of persons can not stop.
Sometimes it feels like growing in the 90s, or early 2000s was easier maybe cos there was no internet back then or more like, no social media.
Quite a number of young people in their 20s, put a whole load of pressure on themselves, and sometimes it’s painful.

I am a young person, and many times I try to imagine what it means growing in the ‘pre social media’ era.
I wonder how peaceful it must have been. A time where there was no urge to be the top or get the most likes and comments or the most accolades.
For the young people, every single thing, every single thing is a reason to compare.
From jobs to wears, to events, to family, to residence, you wonder why?
Worse still, depression and suicide cases are on the rise. Why?? Comparison. Peep the story of Hana Kimura who died due to cyber bullying.
How does it stop? How can the whole unhappiness stop? How can the whole pain of comparison go away?
Only one medicine. Just one! What is it then? Gratitude!
Always, make sure you are grateful for what you have.
