A REVIEW OF PORT HARCOURT SINGLES PARTY

So just a week before St. Valentine’s day, there was a party — Port Harcourt Singles Party, for those who were still not on St. Valentine’s list in the city of Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

It was the first time that such a party was being held in this city . A city that is known for ‘forming’.

How then would they mingle and meet someone to pair up with, before St. Valentine’s day, when they usually find it hard to mingle? That was one of the fuss of the occasion.

Well, from the widespread fame the event got online, it appeared a lot of folks I’m the city were single and willing to mingle.

The event was fierce and explosive, with attendees having only positive reviews to give about the event.

For Spicegirl of Port Harcourt City, It was an amazing experience.

She said, “What excited me most was meeting my Twitter friends… its the connect for me.”

When asked if there’s anything she’d want to be improvised, she said, “I would like the organisers to include artists performances & comedy.”

She seemed to be so happy as she gave out shout outs to the organisers, the hosts & the DJ.

For Nancy, it was an awesome experience. she said, “I really had fun. From the MC’s to the DJ. No dull moment from them. Every moment had the best reaction and the best song to it.”

“I liked that people really interacted with one another regardless of not knowing them from anywhere. Maybe that was cause of the notice they put up in the tweets prior to the event that everyone had to mingle irrespective of their cliques.”

“I met new friends, both guys and girls. Everyone I met there were very receptive. I played some games for the first time. I was good at first trial (highlights of the event for me).”

“RedBull was available in case you got tired. Things were affordable to get. I enjoyed every bit of it even till the competitions. I was screaming when the guys danced.”

“I really had an open mind when coming, so I guess that was what made me enjoy it really well.”

It was generally fun. People who talked about it on the timeline actually turned up. Some people kept to time while some still came “late”. The vibe was there, the DJ did justice.

When quizzed on what he would have loved to be improvised, the young graphics designer said, “More couple games I guess. I didn’t see much match-making games or the kissing booth.”

My only regret is that I can’t find a single picture of myself anywhere 🤧.

Going further, the young entrepreneur said she won’t remove anything from the party as it was well planned.

The tweet which inspired this party, was tweeted as far back as January 3rd of this year.

What was your major challenge prior to the event?

Raising money to fund the idea of the event

What did you love most about the event?

The audience and how they vibed, changing the whole Port Harcourt event audience narrative.

Any challenges at the event?

None that I can remember

Do you have a shout out to anyone(s) in particular for the success of the event?

Shout out to Bella, Mimi, Micheal, Vechilz, DJ Savy, Josephine and everyone else that was part of the success of this event.

What event do we expect from you, going forward?

Yes, I’d be hosting a few other events across the year, watch my space.

St. Valentine’s day is coming and many might just celebrate it, due to the benefit of Port Harcourt Singles party.

Many would want to know the best place they should be on 14tg February, but then, how would you know the best place.
